Celosia
Celosias are an long lasting cut flower, surviving up to 2 weeks in a vase.
Flowers can be dried for later use. To dry, hang freshly cut stems upside down in a warm, dark place for 2 to 3 weeks or until they are firm to the touch.
I was l lucky enough to purchase limited release seeds from Floret Flower Farm in the USA Washington’s beautiful Skagit Valley a couple of years ago. This was a one off opportunity in Australia.
Vintage Rose - Celosoia argentea plumosa.
This heartbreakingly beautiful mix is a blend of blush, pewter, and sun bleached velvet that looks like it’s from another era. The towering plants have rich cranberry stems and gray-green leaves with crimson veining. Tall, slender stems are topped with long, feather-like plumes.
Stunning flowers that can grow taller than 2 metres.

Spun Sugar - Celosia argentea plumosa
This beautiful warm, glowing mix produces giant shimmering, textural plumes in a range of peachy tangerine, soft coral, pinky apricot, and smoky rose. These productive, heat-loving plants have long, slender stems, giant spaghetti-like flower heads, and light green foliage.
Please note that this variety is still a work in progress and is not 100% uniform, so you will undoubtedly find a few off types in the mix. We will continue to refine and improve this selection, but are making it available before it’s “perfect” for you to grow and enjoy.
Spun Sugar is not as tall as Vintage Rose only growing to 1.2 metres.
